At St Paul’s CE Primary School  we deliver a highly inclusive and sequentially planned curriculum from EYFS to Year 6. Created to match our diverse community, our provision ensures that all pupils experience a sense of belonging. Rooted in our Christian

foundation and a deep respect for children’s rights, our teaching maintains an uncompromisingly ambitious environment where every child, regardless of their starting point, is empowered to secure strong foundations in their first years, flourish spiritually and academically, and become a confident, lifelong learner.

We serve a diverse local community. Our curriculum is intentionally designed to address our specific context by breaking down barriers to learning, promoting equity, and celebrating diversity.

  • A Sense of Belonging: Our curriculum is purposefully created to match our community. We ensure that every child sees themselves reflected in their learning, fostering an environment where identity is celebrated, and every pupil feels valued and included.

  • High Ambition for All: We do not lower our expectations or narrow the curriculum for any child. Our ambition is for every pupil to access a rich, challenging, and comprehensive body of knowledge, ensuring equity of opportunity across all subject areas.

  • Securing Strong Foundations: Our whole-school academic ambition is fundamentally anchored in the successful delivery of our EYFS and KS1 provisions. We do not view early years as a separate entity; rather, it is the vital engine room where the cognitive, linguistic, and moral foundations of our entire curriculum are established. These build progressively from day one at St Paul’s. We prioritise early reading, phonics, communication, and core mathematical concepts to eliminate early gaps before they widen. Our early years vision actively prioritises communication, language, and physical and emotional development as the absolute prerequisite foundations for all later academic learning.

  • Clear Behaviour and Relationships policy – Be Ready, Respectful, Safe

  • The Christian Foundation: Our vision is fuelled by six core values: Love, Hope, Forgiveness, Thankfulness, Respect, and Justice. These are not passive words; they are the behavioural and academic drivers of our

  • Holistic Flourishing: We believe learning must be rewarding, relevant, and joyful. We intentionally design opportunities for children to show bravery and innovation in their education.

  • Rights and Dignity: Every classroom operates as a rights respecting environment where the dignity of the child is paramount, ensuring a safe, predictable space where it is safe to make mistakes and grow.
