Meet the Team

My name is Ruth Gent

I’m work for the Church of England in Manchester Diocese and am the Deanery Enabler for Manchester South and Stretford.

I have a background in primary teaching, parent support in special schools in Manchester and most recently in administration and school governance for Manchester Diocesan Board of Education.

The Thursday lunchtime Values Club meets at St Paul’s School for 30 minutes weekly with Mrs Rainey, clergy from St Paul’s Church Withington and myself.  The club aims to be a place where KS2 pupils can meet to play games, get to know each other, join in craft, singing or other activities whilst practicing putting into action the foundational Christian values of St Paul’s school which are

  • Love

  • Hope

  • Thankfulness

  • Forgiveness

  • Respect

  • Justice

The club is inclusive of pupils of all faith or none and a place of welcome and joy, reflecting the whole of St Paul’s School.

Me.jpg

I'm Cate the Vicar at St Paul's Church, and also a school governor at the school.

Church and school have had strong links since they were both founded in the 1840's.

We regularly lead collective worship and children visit school for educational visits as well as for services.

Our hope is that all children, of all  faiths or none feel welcome and at home at St Paul's - it's their church

Rev Joshua Gaskell.jpg

My name is Josh and I am the Assistant Curate at St Paul's Church.

I regularly lead collective worship at school and at Church.

I help to build links with the school and local community with events such as singing at the local care home and Christmas celebrations.
