Christian Values- Thankfulness

Our half term is coming to an end this week. It is important to reflect on what we are thankful for. What has happened this half term that you are thankful for?

Important dates this week:

Today is Meditation day! What is meditation?

There are many benefits to meditation, it can reduce stress, improve focus, make you happier and even help you to live longer!

We are going to do a meditation all together now. Sit comfy, close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths in and out, settle into your body

News

Please can we make sure that children are not opening other children’s lunchboxes. There has been an incident where sadly we have seen children do this. If a lunchbox does not belong to you, you should not be opening it. If you are hungry or have a problem please ask an adult to help you.

Discussion:

We have been talking a lot about community and what it means to be part of one. We have also spoken about our Christian values and our British values.

Thinking about this, can we describe what we think makes us at St Pauls US?

What are we?

What do we value?

(e.g. We are brave, we work as a team, we are proud of our school we are kind, we are respectful etc)

Please write ideas below and get back to Ms Najduch:

Share your thoughts with the group and remember to be a good listener whilst others are talking, you might hear something inspirational!

Positive Affirmation for today:

Practicing morning affirmations can help you start your day on the right track. It puts you in a good headspace for tackling the rest of the day. This kind of positive self-talk becomes easier with practice and when you remember them they will pop into your head when you need it most. Can you remember last weeks?

I can find my calm

Thank you and have a great week and a wonderful easter break! 😊
