One Voice Agenda 08/10/2024
Date: 8th Oct 2024 @ 8:47am
Welcome to One Voice!
Worship Question: please go around the circle and give your answer
This week our question was about Justice, what does this mean to you?
Important dates this week:
- Thursday 10th October is World Mental Health Day- talking to people you trust is a great way to protect your own mental health, who can you talk to about your feelings?
In school we use the Zones of Regulation to check in our emotions, what can you do to get back on green? How can the calm corner help you?
News: Rights Respecting
There were two Rights Respecting assemblies in September and Ms Gallienne is very impressed with everything you remember! Can you remember the ABCDE of rights?
A- All children have rights (universal)
B- Children have rights from Birth (inherent)
C- Rights Cannot be taken away (inalienable)
D- Rights Do not have to be earned (unconditional)
E- Rights are Equally important (indivisible)
St Paul's is looking for a new group of Rights Rangers for this year (you can still be one if you have been before but must be in Y4,5 or 6), this role includes:
- Being excited about sharing your ideas about children's rights
- Helping children across the school learn more about their rights
- Being able to speak in front of your One Voice group each week to share any new plans or information
- Commiting to a 10/15 minute meeting every week with Ms Gallienne at lunch time
- to help encourage rights respecting behaviour in our school and be positive role models
Please make a note of children who are interested and pass on to Ms Gallienne
Discussion- House Points celebrations
We are coming to the end of the half term and we will be totalling up the house points to decide who the winners are for this half term. This will be celebrated by a whole house reward, it is up to YOU what this is! We would like your suggestions of what this could be. (some examples: extra play, sports games, disco, hot chocolates, parachute games) Please can someone make a list and get it back to Ms Najduch. The ultimate decision will be made by the House Captains. If your house wins your teachers will decide whether you can join the celebration so remember to always be RESPECTFUL, READY & SAFE.
Share your thoughts with the group and remember to be a good listener whilst others are talking, you might hear something inspirational!
Positive Affirmation for today:
Practicing morning affirmations can help you start your day on the right track. It puts you in a good headspace for tackling the rest of the day. This kind of positive self-talk becomes easier with practice and when you remember them they will pop into your head when you need it most. Can you remember last weeks? (I speak kind words)
I am a good friend.
Thank you and have a great week! 😊
